Pregnant women need more amounts of certain nutrients — like protein, iron, folic acid, iodine and choline. It is also important to get enough calcium, vitamin D, potassium and fibre. Making smart food choices can help you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Weight gain is a natural part of pregnancy. How much weight is healthy to gain and the number of extra calories you will need - depends on many things, including how much you weighed before pregnancy. Drink plain water instead of sugary drinks like soda, fruit drinks, sweetened waters and energy or sports drinks. Try adding fruit or herbs to your water for a fresh flavour. This study was a web questionnaire-based survey. The question was framed in a Google form. The study population was selected from several different respondents those were pregnant, newly mother or under motherhood this study was survey among 150 respondents. The survey was conducted from 10 August to 10 September 2022. This survey was carried out using interviewer-administered questionnaire that was designed into two parts first part contain socio-demographic information of respondents include age, marital status, educational level, occupation, gravidity, parity and second part contain the knowledge towards healthy eating among pregnant women. All the quantitative recorded data were represented in percentage (%) form. A total of 150 women (respondents) Were included in the study. Most of the respondents were in the age group of 26-30 (n=56,37.3%) years. 97(65%) were selected six to eight glasses were required and a few 27(18%) were thought 12 to 14 glasses of water needed.129(86%) respondents were knowing that drinking tea or coffee between meals is not right in pregnancy. Only 14(9%) respondents were knowledgeable about how much portion of dairy products needed during pregnancy. Majority of respondents 146 (97%) known that fruit juices enhance iron absorption when consumed with meals. A total of 150 respondents were known that folate rich food sources for pregnant women are spinach, cabbage, green vegetable, fruit etc. 29(43%) Respondents told 6 to 11 portions of cereal, 1 slice of bread, rice, pasta, egg needed during pregnancy. Overall part of the study revealed that respondents have good knowledge about healthy eating during pregnancy. Almost all the response we gathered from 150 women’s we can conclude that women had an excellent knowledge regarding pregnancy. However, there are some points where focus should be enhanced such as how much portion of vitamin, carbohydrate, minerals should consume during pregnancy.
